Ghent, Colonial Place, Larchmont
Houses from the early 1900s sit over brick pier crawl spaces framed with old growth lumber. That wood resists decay better than anything milled today, but termites and fungi have had a full century to probe it.

Usually, and they should. The extra minutes go toward the call that actually matters in a vintage home: whether what we are looking at is damage from 1962 or activity from last month.

As soon as you have a ratified contract, or before listing if you want zero surprises. Lenders typically want WDI reports dated within 30 to 90 days of closing, and PCS season stacks every inspection calendar in this city.
